Planadas is a municipality situated in the department of Tolima, Colombia. It is located approximately 252 km from Ibagué, which serves as the capital of the department.
The town was founded in 1966 during the presidency of Carlos Lleras Restrepo. It remains a recognized administrative division within the region.
