Orito is a municipality and town located in the Putumayo Department of Colombia. Geographically, it is situated just south of the confluence where the Patascoy and Luzonyaco Rivers meet.
The town is positioned in the southern region of the department, located approximately 43 kilometres (27 miles) north of the international border with Ecuador.
