Lourdes is a market town located in the Pyrenees mountains of southwestern France. It is situated within the Hautes-Pyrénées department of the Occitanie region.
Historically, the town was primarily recognized for its Château fort. This fortified castle is positioned on a rocky escarpment at the center of the settlement.
