Villavicencio

Villavicencio is a city and municipality located in Colombia, serving as the capital of the Meta Department. Founded on April 6, 1840, it is situated at coordinates 4°08'N, 73°40'W, approximately 75 km southeast of Bogotá by the Guatiquía River.

The city serves as the primary commercial center in the Llanos Orientales region of Colombia. As of 2018, the municipality had a recorded population of 531,275 residents.
