Teruel is a city located in the province of Aragon in eastern Spain. It serves as the provincial capital and currently has a population of approximately 35,900 residents, which makes it the least populated provincial capital in Spain.
The region is characterized by a harsh climate featuring wide daily temperature variations. The area is known for its cultural products, including pottery and renowned jamón serrano. It also features significant archaeological sites and rock outcrops that contain some of the oldest dinosaur remains found on the Iberian Peninsula.
The city hosts several famous traditional events, most notably La Vaquilla del Ángel during the weekend closest to July 10 and the Bodas de Isabel de Segura around the third weekend of February.
