La Jagua de Ibirico is a town and municipality located in the Department of Cesar, Colombia. It serves as a significant regional center within the country's interior.
The area is notably rich in coal deposits, which are exploited extensively for industrial use. Its coal production is considered the second largest in Colombia, surpassed only by El Cerrejon in the department of La Guajira.
