Cartagena del Chairá is a town and municipality located in the Department of Caquetá in Colombia. It serves as a local administrative center within the region.
The town gained significant notoriety during the failed peace process between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) from 1999 to 2002. Despite the presence of the Colombian military, the FARC continues to maintain a high level of influence and active operations in the area.
