Ciudad Bolivar

Colombia

Ciudad Bolívar is the capital city of the southeastern Bolívar State in Venezuela. Historically known as Angostura and St. Thomas de Guyana, it serves as a significant geographical landmark located at the point where the Orinoco River narrows to approximately one mile (1.6 km) in width.

The city functions as a major riverport for the eastern regions of Venezuela. It is also notable for being the site of the first bridge constructed across the Orinoco River.
