Yuecheng District is a county-level district located in the Zhejiang province of the People's Republic of China. It serves as the core area of the municipality of Shaoxing, encompassing the city's downtown and its immediate surrounding regions.
The district covers a total area of 338 square kilometers (131 sq mi) and has a population of approximately 610,000 people. Notable historical and geographical features within the district include the former Yue base situated beside Mount Kuaiji and the site of the imperial Chinese capital of Kuaiji Commandery.
