Panzhihua, formerly known as Dukou, is a prefecture-level city situated in the far southern region of Sichuan province, China. It is geographically positioned at the confluence of the Jinsha and Yalong Rivers.
The city encompasses an administrative area of 7,423.42 square kilometres (2,866.20 sq mi). According to the 2020 census, Panzhihua had a total population of 1,212,203, with 806,395 residents living within its three urban districts.
