Meishan is a prefecture-level city situated in the southwestern portion of the Sichuan Basin in China. Formerly known by the names Meizhou or Qingzhou, the city currently serves as an administrative center for the region.
As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 2,955,219 residents. The primary urban area is composed of two districts, Dongpo and Pengshan, which together house approximately 1,232,648 people.
