Kangding

Kangding, also known as Dartsedo, is a county-level city located in the Sichuan province of Southwest China. It serves as the administrative seat of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and is situated on the banks of the Zheduo River.

The city has historically functioned as the border between the Kham region of Tibet and the Sichuan region. Its urban center, known as Lucheng, has a population of approximately 134,000 inhabitants.
