Zhongshan

Zhongshan is a prefecture-level city located in the southern region of China's Guangdong province. It is situated within the Pearl River Delta and serves as an integral part of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen conurbation, which has a total population of 65,565,622 inhabitants. As of the 2020 census, the city itself had a population of 4,418,060.

The city-core subdistricts were historically known as Shiqi or Shekki. While it shares its name with other locations, this specific prefecture-level city is defined by its geographic position within one of China's major metropolitan clusters.
