Zhaoqing, also romanized as Shiuhing, is a prefecture-level city located in Guangdong Province, China. According to the 2020 census, the city has a total population of 4,113,594, with approximately 1,553,109 residents living within the built-up area comprising Duanzhou, Dinghu, and Gaoyao.
The geography of the prefectural seat is characterized by relatively flat terrain, excluding the Seven Star Crags, while thickly forested mountains are situated just outside the city limits. The outskirts of Zhaoqing feature numerous aquaculture ponds and rice paddies. Additionally, the southern districts and Sihui are considered part of the Pearl River Delta.
