Yuhu District is one of two urban districts situated within Xiangtan City in Hunan Province, China. It covers a total area of 451.39 km2 (174.28 sq mi) and serves as a significant administrative region in the western part of the city proper.
The district is positioned on the northwestern shoreside of the Xiang River. It shares borders with Yuelu District and Tianxin District of Changsha City to the north and east, Yuetang District to the east, Xiangtan County to the south, and Ningxiang County to the west. The government seat for the district is located in the Yuhu Road Subdistrict.
As of 2015, Yuhu District had a registered population of 520,477 and a residential population of 667,000. Its administrative jurisdiction includes eight subdistricts, three towns, and one township.
