Jijia

The Jijia is a river located in Ukraine and the Moldavia region of Romania. It serves as a right tributary of the Prut River.

The river originates in Ukraine at an altitude of 410 metres and flows southward through Botoșani County, passing the town of Dorohoi before joining the Prut in Gorban, Iași County. The Jijia has a total length of 287 km (178 mi), with 275 km situated within Romania. Its drainage area covers approximately 5,770 km² (2,230 sq mi), the vast majority of which is located in Romania.

Major tributaries of the Jijia include the Sitna, Miletin, and Bahlui rivers.
