Jiangmen, also known by its Cantonese name Kongmoon, is a prefecture-level city located in the Guangdong Province of southern China. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of approximately 4,798,090 people.
The city's administrative structure includes three urban districts—Pengjiang, Jianghai, and Heshan—along with the more rural Siyi region. The Siyi area is notably recognized as the ancestral homeland for roughly 4 million overseas Chinese. While the total population exceeds 4.7 million, the specific urban region comprising Pengjiang, Jianghai, and Heshan accounts for 2,657,062 inhabitants.
