Huizhou

Huizhou is a prefecture-level city located in east-central Guangdong Province, China. It is situated approximately forty-three miles north of Hong Kong and serves as a significant administrative region within the province.

The city borders several major municipalities and regions, including Guangzhou to the west, Shenzhen and Dongguan to the southwest, Shaoguan to the north, Heyuan to the northeast, and Shanwei to the east. To the south, it faces Daya Bay of the South China Sea.

According to the 2020 census, Huizhou has a total population of approximately 6,042,852 inhabitants. The core metropolitan area is concentrated within the Huicheng and Huiyang Districts, which house about 2,090,578 residents.
