Gaozhou is a county-level city located in southwestern Guangdong Province, China. It currently functions as part of the prefecture-level city of Maoming. The city covers a total territory of 3,270.86 km² (1,262.89 sq mi), though its actual built-up area is significantly smaller.
As of the 2020 census, Gaozhou had a population of 1,328,658 residents who speak a local variation of the Gaozhou dialect. The city is notably recognized in China as the ancestral home of Leo Ku.
