Tengyue is a historical name for the town that serves as the political center of Tengchong, a county-level city located in Baoshan City within the western Yunnan province of the People's Republic of China.
The area is primarily recognized for its significant volcanic activity. Historically, various English language sources from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries referred to the location by several different names, including Teng-Chung, Tingyueh, Teng Yueh, Momein, and Momien.
