Kaihua County is a county located under the jurisdiction of Quzhou city in Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China. Situated in the westernmost portion of the province, the district covers a total area of 2,224 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 340,000 people. The local government is based in the town of Chengguan at 54 Jiefang Street.
The county serves as the source of the Qiantang River. It is characterized by significant natural landscapes, with forests covering 79.2% of its territory. Due to this high level of forest coverage, Kaihua County is considered a key region for forestry both within Zhejiang Province and across China as a whole.
