Luyuan District is one of seven districts located within the prefecture-level city of Changchun. It serves as part of the urban core for the capital city of Jilin Province in Northeast China.
The district is bordered by Kuancheng District to the north and east, and Chaoyang District to the south. To its north and west lies Nong'an County, while it shares a western border with the prefecture-level city of Siping.
