Yanzhou is a district located within the prefecture-level city of Jining in the southwest region of Shandong province, People's Republic of China.
Historically, Yanzhou served as the name for one of the Nine Provinces in ancient China. It is noted in historical records as a location where Yu performed water control measures to combat floods.
