Yantai

Yantai is a coastal prefecture-level city located on the Shandong Peninsula in China. Historically known by Europeans as Chefoo, the city is situated on the southern coast of the Bohai Strait, bordering Qingdao to the southwest and Weihai to the east. It maintains sea access to both the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea.

The city serves as the largest fishing seaport in Shandong province. According to the 2020 census, Yantai had a population of 7,102,116 people. Of this total, 3,184,299 residents live within the built-up area consisting of five urban districts: Zhifu, Laishan, Fushan, Muping, and Penglai.
