Xintai is a county-level city situated in the central region of Shandong province, People's Republic of China. It serves as the easternmost county-level division within the prefecture-level city of Tai'an.
The city is located approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) to the southeast of downtown Tai'an. It functions as a distinct administrative unit within the broader provincial geography of Shandong.
