Rizhao, also romanized as Jihchao, is a prefecture-level city located in the southeastern region of Shandong province, China. It is situated along the coastline of the Yellow Sea, where it faces Korea and Japan to the east.
The city serves as a significant maritime hub, featuring the Port of Rizhao as its major seaport. Geographically, it shares borders with Qingdao to the northeast, Weifang to the north, and Linyi to the west and southwest.
