Laizhou, also known by the romanization Laichow, is a county-level city located in the prefecture-level city of Yantai within China's Shandong Province. It serves as a regional administrative center with a diverse demographic profile.
As of 2008, the city had a total population of 902,000 people. Of this total population, approximately 188,000 residents lived in urban areas.
