Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture located in the Southeast-Central region of Yunnan Province, China. It shares a southern border with Vietnam's Lào Cai and Lai Châu provinces. The name of the prefecture is derived from the Hong River and the two primary ethnic minority groups residing in the area: the Yi and the Hani.

The prefecture covers a total area of 32,929 square kilometres (12,714 sq mi) with its administrative seat located in Mengzi. The region has a total population of 4.8 million people, of which 61.3% are members of ethnic minority groups.
