Dongying

Dongying is a prefecture-level city located on the northern coast of Shandong province in the People's Republic of China. The city covers an administrative area of 7,923.26 km2 (3,059.19 sq mi) and had a population of 2,193,518 as of the 2020 census.

The built-up area of the city consists of the Dongying and Kenli districts, which house approximately 1,188,656 residents. The region is notably home to the Shengli Oilfield, which ranks as the second largest oilfield in China following the Daqing oilfield.
