Changle is an urban district located within the prefecture-level city of Fuzhou, which serves as the capital of Fujian Province in China. It covers a land area of 648 square kilometers and encompasses a sea area of 1,327 square kilometers. The district faces the East China Sea and is geographically connected to the Mawei district by the Min River.
The history of Changle dates back to the sixth year of Emperor Wude during the Tang dynasty. It served as a capital for the succeeding Min Kingdom before being designated as a county-level city on February 18, 1994. In August 2017, the area was officially upgraded to a district status following a government proposal.
