Xinzhou is a prefecture-level city located in the north-central section of Shanxi Province, China. Historically known by the ancient name Xiurong, the city serves as a regional hub bordering several provinces and autonomous regions, including Hebei to the east, Shaanxi to the west, and Inner Mongolia to the northwest.
