Shuozhou is a prefecture-level city located in the northern region of Shanxi province, China. It shares a border with Inner Mongolia to its northwest and is situated along the upper reaches of the Fen River.
The prefecture covers a total area of approximately 10,662 square kilometers (4,117 square miles). As of 2010, the city had a recorded population of about 1.71 million residents.
