Daxinzhuang is an archaeological site located near Daxinzhuang village in Licheng, Jinan, within the province of Shandong, China. While early human occupation in the surrounding area has been dated back to the Neolithic Longshan and Yueshi cultures, the location developed into a significant urban center during the late Erligang period.
This period of development corresponds with a time of political and military expansion from the heartland of Henan into Shandong. The site is notable for being the type site of the Daxinzhuang type, which refers to a specific material culture shared by other settlements situated along the Ji River.
