Danzhu is a historical figure associated with China. He was the eldest son of the legendary Chinese monarch Emperor Yao, who is traditionally said to have reigned from approximately 2356 to 2255 BCE.
Danzhu was granted the Fengjian state of Danyuan, which provided him with an honorable title in reference to that territory. He is also noted for studying Weiqi under his father's guidance.
