Luwan District was a district located in central Shanghai, China. It covered an area of approximately 8.05 square kilometers (3.11 square miles) and had a recorded population of 350,000 as of the year 2001.
The district ceased to exist as an independent administrative entity in June 2011 following its merger with the Huangpu District.
