Taihu

Taihu, also known as Lake Tai or Lake Taihu, is a large freshwater lake located in the Yangtze Delta region of China. It is situated primarily within Jiangsu province, with its southern shore forming a border with Zhejiang province.

Covering an area of 2,250 square kilometers (869 sq mi), it is the third-largest freshwater lake entirely in China, following Poyang and Dongting. The lake has an average depth of 2 meters (6.6 ft) and contains approximately 90 islands that vary in size from a few square meters to several square kilometers.
