The Lugou Bridge, also known as the Marco Polo Bridge, is a stone bridge located in the Fengtai District of Beijing, China. It is situated approximately 15 kilometers southwest of the city center and spans the Yongding River, which serves as a major tributary of the Hai River.
The site is historically significant for housing the Wanping Fortress at its eastern end. This fortress dates back to the 17th century and currently contains the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
