Xingping is a city located in the central region of Shaanxi province, China. It officially attained city status in 1993 and covers a total area of 496 square kilometers with a population of approximately 620,000 residents. The region experiences an annual average temperature of 13.1 °C (55.6 °F) and receives about 585 mm (23.0 in) of annual precipitation.
The city has developed a diverse economy featuring more than 50 industries, including aviation, electronics, medicine, maritime, and light industry. Notable historical sites include Xingping Old Street and the Fishing Village, located about 2 km from the town center. These areas house landmarks such as the Guandi Temple, built during the Qing dynasty, and an old banyan tree large enough to require eight people's outstretched arms to encircle it.
Other significant points of interest within the city include the tomb of Han Maoling, Huo Yang's tomb, and Xingping's North Tower. These sites contribute to the town's long history and cultural heritage.
