Yingkou

Yingkou is a coastal prefecture-level city located in the central southern region of Liaoning province, China. Situated on the northeastern shore of Liaodong Bay, it serves as a significant geographical point within the province's maritime landscape.

The city covers a total area of 5,502 square kilometres, making it the third-smallest prefecture-level city in Liaoning. As of the 2020 census, Yingkou had a population of 2,328,582 residents, with over half living within its three urban districts and the county-level city of Dashiqiao.

Yingkou shares land borders with several major regions, including the sub-provincial city of Dalian to the south, Anshan to the north and east, and Panjin to the northwest. It also maintains maritime boundaries across Liaodong Bay with the cities of Jinzhou and Huludao.
