Wafangdian

Wafangdian, formerly known as Fuhsien (Fuxian) or Fu County, is a county-level city located in the southern part of Liaoning province, China. It operates under the administration of Dalian and is one of two "northern county-level cities" in the region, the other being Zhuanghe. The city borders the prefecture-level city of Yingkou to its northeast.

The city is primarily recognized for its significant ball bearing industry. It is home to the Wafangdian Bearing Factory, which is the largest bearing manufacturer in Asia. This facility was originally constructed by the Japanese during World War II. As of 2010, the city had a permanent population of 942,197 and an area spanning approximately 3,576.40 square kilometres.
