Liaoyang

Liaoyang is a prefecture-level city located in the east-central region of Liaoning province, China. It is situated along the Taizi River and is positioned approximately one hour south of Shenyang, which serves as the provincial capital.

The city serves as an educational hub, housing several vocational colleges and the College of Foreign Studies at Liaoning University. For sports and recreation, Liaoyang features a modern sports facility that hosts a limited number of professional basketball and volleyball games. As of 2020, the city's population is characterized by a demographic where those aged 15 to 59 make up the majority at 62.26%, while nearly 28% of the residents are aged 60 or older.
