Fuxin is a prefecture-level city located in the northwestern region of Liaoning province, China. It shares a northern border with the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
As of the 2020 census, the city had a decreasing total population of 1,647,280 inhabitants. Of this population, 716,494 residents live within the built-up area, which consists of four urban districts collectively referred to as Fuxin City.
