Fushun is a prefecture-level city located in the Liaoning province of China. It is situated approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles) east of Shenyang and sits along the Hun River. The city covers a total area of 11,272 square kilometers (4,352 square miles), with the city proper accounting for 714 square kilometers (276 square miles).
The region serves as one of the primary industrial and economic development hubs within Liaoning province. Its geographical position on the Hun River contributes to its role in the local economy.
