Yelang, also known as Zangke, was an ancient political entity located in what is now western Guizhou province, China. First described in the 3rd century BC, the state remained active for over 200 years before its eventual dissolution.
The state was historically significant enough to be referenced in modern Chinese idioms, specifically the expression "Yelang thinks too highly of itself." Following an attempted conquest by the former Qin Dynasty, Yelang was ultimately absorbed by the Han Dynasty in 111 BC during the conquest of Nanyue.
