Xinye is a county located in the Nanyang region of Henan province, China. It is situated in the southwestern part of the province, bordered by the prefecture-level city of Xiangyang in Hubei province to the south, Tanghe County to the east, and the county-level city of Dengzhou to the west.
The county covers a total area of 1,062 km² (410 sq mi) and is characterized by largely flat terrain. According to the 2020 Chinese Census, Xinye has a population of 602,827 residents. The region possesses various natural resources, including oil, natural gas, and geothermal deposits.
