Shangba is a small agricultural village located in Wengyuan County, Guangdong Province, China. It is administered by Xinjiang Town and has a population of approximately 3,300 residents.
The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, with rice and sugar cane serving as the region's major crops. The village gained international notoriety in 2007 when it was nicknamed "China's Village of Death" due to an extremely high incidence of cancer among its population.
