Hepu is a county located in southeastern Guangxi, China, under the administration of Beihai City. It covers an area of approximately 2,380 square kilometers and had a recorded population of 930,914 as of 2003. The region was formerly known as Lianzhou.
The county is bordered by Pubei County to the north, Bobai County to the northeast, Lianjiang in Guangdong to the southeast, Qinzhou to the west, and the Gulf of Tonkin to the south. In November 1992, then-Premier Li Peng referred to the area as "the Southern Pearl County."
