Hechi is a prefecture-level city located in the northwestern region of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It shares a northern border with the neighboring province of Guizhou.
The city officially gained its current status in June 2002. Its administrative capital is Yizhou.
