Pingliang is a prefecture-level city located in the eastern region of Gansu province, China. It shares borders with Shaanxi province to the south and east, as well as the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to the north.
Established in 376 AD, the city has a residential population of approximately 2,125,300 as of 2019. Of this total population, nearly 900,000 reside within the urban area.
