Mubo is a village located inland from Salamaua town in the Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea. It is situated within the Salamaua Rural LLG at the coordinates 7.21667°S 147.00001°E.
The village is historically significant for its role during the Second World War. It was occupied by Imperial Japanese forces on May 14, 1943, and was subsequently liberated by Australian Army forces in July of the same year.
